Masturbation and Onanism are two totally different sins

I want to address this topic because the more I teach “What does the Bible say about sex” to teens, the more I realize the confusion between these two sins. I even remember hearing while I was growing up that masturbation is wrong because you spill your “seed” on the ground like that guy in the Bible and God condemned him.

I would like to use this article to clarify the difference between the sin of masturbation and the sin of onanism. Unfortunately, the dictionary calls onanism masturbation but as we will see from the Biblical example, onanism is not masturbation. Onanism is not just simply a man spilling his seed on the ground.

What does the Bible teach about masturbation? Continue reading

Good Job North Carolina

The good people of North Carolina made a statement that must be heard and appreciated. We live in an age of liberal activist judges shredding the Constitution by forcing people to accept a controversial way of life that they may or may not agree with by not allowing the people to vote on Gay marriage but instead, they force laws on the people. The same is true with the legalization of abortion. If the people were ever able to vote on the issue, abortion would become illegal almost overnight since much of the country is against it. But, that is how liberal legal activism works, you do not allow the people to vote, you just force laws upon them. Continue reading

Does the Bible teach that parents are to kill their children for being rude?

I want to write this in response to an atheist who claims that the Bible is absurd because of Its teachings on the parent/child relationship. He claims that the Bible teaches that parents must kill their “rude” children (although he does not define what “rude” means). He puts no effort in to understanding a text from the Bible. Like most atheists, he is quote mining or cherry picking verses and trying to use them against the Bible. Atheists usually ask that you refrain from using the Bible as a source when defending the Bible yet they try and use the Bible against Itself day and night. They have a very obvious double standard (but that is a different topic that we can cover later). Here is the info from the atheist’s blog. Continue reading

Did Jesus contradict the Bible by not stoning the woman caught in adultery?

Those who do not want to believe the Bible is the Word of God will stop at nothing to try and disprove the Bible (even making fools of themselves claiming that there are “contradictions” in the Bible and then using lame arguments based on vaguely similar passages that “seem” to contradict each other). Here is the latest “argument” for a contradiction in the Bible. Was Jesus contradicting Moses when He did not command the woman caught in adultery to be stoned? Let’s take a look at the Word of God and see what we can determine.

Win the fight against AIDS = Stop the spread of homosexuality

Today is December 1 or International AIDS awareness day. The world spends billions on a yearly basis to try and stop the spread of AIDS and at the same time promotes the homosexual lifestyle which spreads AIDS faster than any other lifestyle (even faster than IV drug users). In this article, you will find more, up to date information about the spread of AIDS among the homosexual community. It is counter productive to stand on one branch and chop that same branch from the tree. That is what is happening with the AIDS awareness movement. If we combat immorality then we will make tremendous strides in stopping the spread of HIV/AIDS. As long as immorality is promoted as an alternative way of life, we will continue to lose the battle against this STD. May God help us to be wise as serpents and as gentle as doves in this battle.

Still don’t think homosexuality is dangerous?

I just found some new info on the dangers of homosexuality. There are many who say that this is a harmless, alternative lifestyle that should be promoted just like heterosexuality. I could not disagree more. I have written much on this subject but I have to continue because the evidence continues to mount against homosexuality. It is dangerous for children to be around homosexuals. Read why here. Homosexuals are targeting children. See how here. They want to teach children in the public schools. HIV/AIDS is an epidemic among homosexuals in the USA.  Continue reading

Homosexuals and child molestation

I have had the privilege this past week of spending a few days with Dr. Paul Cameron and his wife as they have been sharing with the citizens of Moldova about the dangers of homosexuality, especially to our children. Based on the arguments shared by Mr. Cameron, I want to preach a sermon this Sunday morning at the church. I was not surprised to see the results of Mr. Cameron’s research. I would like to share the sermon here with you in article form. (check out his info at the Family Research Institute website)

I. Homosexuality promises financial prosperity. We live in a material world where people will literally sell their souls in order to gain the world. The motto of the day is “live for the here and now and do not worry about tomorrow”. The idea of accepting homosexuality is promoted left and right, but of course, the negative consequences are avoided and the “benefits” (usually in the financial form) are promoted. This is nothing new. This happened in the very beginning.

And Lot lifted up his eyes and saw that the Jordan Valley was well watered everywhere like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, in the direction of Zoar. (This was before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.) Genesis 13:10

The Sermon on the Mount (Part 2)

jesus_vs_mankind_righteousness In the first article, we looked at the background and overview of the “Sermon on the Mount”. We saw that this sermon teaches about the righteousness/character of God. Without this righteousness, it is impossible to please God or enter into the Kingdom of heaven. As said, there are two types of righteousness in this world, the righteousness of man (found in all the different religions invented by mankind) and the righteousness of God. Continue reading

Celebrate Valentine’s Day correctly

As we are preparing to celebrate Valentine’s Day here in the USA and all over the world I cannot help but wonder if people actually know what they are celebrating and why. Many times tradition draws out over time and celebrations develop but those who celebrate usually forget the reason for the celebration, especially as much time passes and new generations come on the scene. I feel that this is the case with Valentine’s Day, or the day of “lovers” as some have suggested. In this article I would like to give the history of  St. Valentine and the reason why we celebrate his day in many parts of the world as well as share how to celebrate “True Love” from a biblical perspective.
