Should there be equality between homosexuals and heterosexuals?

In our modern days many people seem to discuss the topic of equality using phrases such as „all are different and all are equal”. I agree, as people we are all different and there are some areas where we are all equal. We all were created by God and we all have the equal right to live and prosper in this life. There is a limit to our equality though. Before you get too upset about the previous statement, please read and I will explain what I mean. For example, I am a married man with a child and one on the way, so I understand the sexual relationship as it was created by God and given to married couples as something beautiful (only when it is practiced within the confines of marriage). On the other hand, when sex is practiced in a shameful way, for instance and grown man and a child, then I as a married man cannot be equal with the sexual pervert. The same is applied to homosexuality, when two men or two women have sexual relations the Bible calls it an abomination (disgusting) therefore the sexual relationship that I have with my wife cannot be equal with the disgusting acts that homosexuals practice. Before you get too angry, please hear me out. I am not against homosexuals, although I am against homosexuality (the lifestyle that homosexuals practice) because of the danger it is to society (innocent people such as children). God created the sexual relationship for a man and a women in the confines of marriage and it is not to be practiced in any other form. Some people are deceived and try to deceive other by saying that you can be a born again Christian and homosexual at the same time. The argument is, „God is love and He accepts us (and our sin) the way that we are.” It sounds good (very spiritual) but it is not what the Word of God, the Bible has to say. The Bible does teach that God is love. The Bible also teaches that God knows who we are aloing with all of our faults yet still calls us into a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ (come as you are but do not stay as you are). When we enter into relationship with God though Jesus Christ then we are completely changed. Our lifestyle of sin is forgiven and we are given a new lifestyle of obedience. God loves the sinner but hates the sin and does something about it. So, saying that you are a born again Christian and gay does not work. It is either one or the other according to the Word of God. Let’s take a look at the Word of God in order to see His opinion on homosexuality:

‘You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination. (Leviticus 18:22)

God does not use the word „homosexual” because the word itself did not exist then. God knows very well how people can manipulate words and deceive others so instead of choosing a word to describe who they are and what they do, He uses detail to explain. The text cannot be manipulated now, because He has described who they are and their actions. He says that homosexuality is an abomination. The word „abomination” means a shameful act, evil action, something disgusting, as well as repulsive. God is totally against the disgusting sin (homosexuality) and leaves not room for any other „interpretation”. There is another passage that speaks of God’s feelings toward homosexuality.

‘If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them. (Leviticus 20:13)

Death is the price for practicing homosexuality and we see it even today. Homosexuals self-destruct on a daily basis (through suicide and STD’s). God has not changed His mind or the punishment for homosexuality.

Some people are so evil that even though they know the price to pay for living the homosexual lifestyle, they still want to deceive others telling them that the previous verses are from the Old Testament and in the New Testament, God changes His mind on the sin of homosexuality. That argument is total bologna. Let’s take a look at what God has to say in the NT about the sin of homosexuality.

Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them.  For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.  For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural,  and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. (Romans 1:24-27)

Homosexuality is presented in several forms (given several different names in this passage). For example: it is lust as well as impurity, along with dishonorable. It is a lie (for example you are born homosexual, that is a lie, or that you cannot stop being homosexual, that is also a lie). It is also a dregrading passion (you degrade yourself and the other person when you practice homosexuality). It is also unnatural as well as a burning desire. Homosexuality is also an indecent act. Ultimately, homosexuals receive the penalty in their own bodies for their sinful actions (read up on the STD’s that homosexuals suffer from). We also see from the text that homosexuals are not born homosexual, they choose to be that way. They choose to believe a lie rather than the Truth that God offers them. They worship themselves instead of worshipping (obeying) God. They do what they please with their bodies (and pay the price). It is bad enough that homosexuals deceive themselves but what makes it worse is the fact that they also seek to deceive others (that is why they want to teach courses in public schools to children).

God has one more thing to say about homosexuality in the NT:

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,  nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.  Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

Those who live the homosexual lifestyle will not inherit the kingdom of God. It is clear here that you cannot be homosexual and a born again Christian. Homosexuals are not Christians and have nothing to do with God. That is the bad news. The good news is that homosexuals can be changed through the power of God in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Corinthian church had many people in it who were former homosexuals but once they accepted Christ as Lord and Savior they were changed and were no longer homosexual.

So in conclusion, there cannot be equality between homosexuals and married heterosexuals in the area of sex. Please fo not compare the relationship that I have with my wife to the disgusting things that homosexuals do. When you do so you offend me and I do not appeciate it. May the Lord help us help each other understand the dangers that homosexuality cause for society.

  2. While the Bible does prohibit sex between men (homosexuality), it can nevertheless be shown that the prohibition does not apply today when the sexual activity causes no harm. Also the prohibition does not apply today because it applied only to the ancient Israelite and Roman cultures. The Bible criticizes, but does not prohibit, sex between women. Edited by the author of this blog. (The link that was posted is to a site full of half truths and lies about the Bible and stuff like that is not acceptable here. If you do not tell the complete truth then what you write is not accepted here).

    • The problem with your argument is that all homosexual sexual activity causes harm. The act itself requires at least two participants, which degrades both. The Bible also prohibits sex between two women, calling it a detestable act. The prohibition applies for all times because is the same yesterday, today, and forever, along with His Word. Jesus says that heaven and earth will pass away but the Word of God will never pass away. The Bible explains that all homosexual sex is sin (not just ritual or prostitution, like I am sure your site will try to claim). The Bible is very clear on the subject of homosexuality, those who practice homosexuality will not inherit the kingdom of heaven. You need to repent and be born again as John chapter 3 says. Read the chapter and then apply what it says.

  3. Homosexuality definitely causes harm (it’s against nature, culture, and spirituality). Regardless of it being proved or not as independent of one’s will (genetic, learned or environmental), it is deviant and a major spiritual handicap. However, the problem is that not Erik, nor anyone else would eventually convince the homosexuals to become heterosexuals. Erik, on the one hand, fears that, by allowing homosexual marriages and adoption of children, homosexuality would spread. I disagree with that and I think allowing homosexual marriages and adoption of children is a great advantage to society. It is interesting, however, that homosexuals want to get married (to each other), while many heterosexuals don’t want to get married, therefore living in greater sin than homosexuals do.

    • First of all I do not want to convert homosexuals to heterosexuality. I want them to convert to Jesus Christ. My job is not to change them, but instead, to present the Truth of the Word of God to them and allow the Holy Spirit to work on their hearts through the Word.

The plans of the homosexual movement are diabolical and they want to use children and young people in order to promote and further their evil agenda.

Adoption is a terrible idea because you place the child at a much greater risk of becoming homosexual and living the dangerous lifestyle that it offers.

Marriage is also just a link in the chain of their plan. They are not interested in marriage because they do not keep their partners long enough to marry.

You have bought into the lie that homosexuality is ok (just like so many others). If you have kids one day, would you like for them to inform you that they are homosexual? If homosexuals are allowed to “teach” our children and young people “about homosexuality” then you and your children will be at risk.

  4. Well, to be frank, I would. I think it’s better for all the people to become homosexuals. Thenceforth, no one would have any new children and the humanity, along with all of its sin, would disappear!

  5. Dear Erik,
Here on your english (american) blog you are very politicaly corect. Here you say you don’t want to change homosexuals, but on blogs from Romania and Moldova your discurs is diferent, full of hate. How is that posible?

    • I have never said, on any blog, that I want to “change” homosexuals. In fact, I admit that I cannot change anyone. Jesus Christ is the only person who is able to change people, even homosexuals.

On the blogs in Romania and Moldova I write with the same political correctness. If you could show me some evidence of your accusations then I would appreciate it very much. Also, disagreeing with someone over their lifestyle is not the same thing as hatred. I am sorry that you have confused the two things (many liberals do this).

Thanks for taking the time to read my articles and comment.

As far as political incorrectness and hatred go, I will include a link to your own blog that shows your political incorrectness and hatred. Warning, adult language, reader discretion advised.
