Youth Camp 2010

I had the privilege of attending our youth camp this year. We took the youth of our church to a camp where we joined together with a team of Moldovan immigrants who live in the Seattle Washington area. They have been coming for several years now and we have been working with them for the past 2 years. There were many youth at this camp who came from Christian families but were not living a Christ-honoring lifestyle. For that reason we decided to study the epistle to Titus. From studying we saw the importance of having sound doctrine which leads to good deeds and a positive impact in the society around you. Many of the young people came face to face with the fact that they were not having a positive impact in society because they were not producing good deeds based on sound doctrine. In fact they were living like the rest of society and the only difference was that they attended church regularly. By the end of the camp 22 young people repented of their sins and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, leaving their religion behind and embracing a personal relationship with God. It was amazing. I want to thank all of the Moldovan leaders who worked so diligently in teaching the Scriptures as well as the Seattle team who dedicated their time, talent, and resources to serve the Lord here in Moldova. May God bless you. We have kicked off a new school year and our youth meetings have begun again. We want to have an even greater impact for Christ in the city of Chisinau and the country of Moldova.
