Is it true that God lives in evil spirits and evil spirits live in God?

God lives in evil spirits and evil spirits live in God?

Mark 3:11 – Whenever the evil spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried, “You are the Son of God.”

1 John 4:15 – If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.

I have returned to our atheist friend for some more inspiration. I just cannot help but point out the lack of logic here. This is another clear case of cherry picking verses and not caring one bit about the intent of the verses used. This is a common theme among atheists. They want to denounce the Bible but they are too lazy to study It and argue their point from a logical point of view. They just want to latch on to nothing and then use mental gymnastics to try and “prove” that the Bible is wrong. Please do not fall for their illogical tricks.

The fact that evil spirits recognize who Jesus is and admit it (state the obvious) does not mean that they “acknowledge Him as their Lord”. There are 2 different meanings for these 2 very different verses. They have nothing in common in fact. Mark 3:11 proves that the demons are smarter than atheists because they can analyze the facts and come to a logical conclusion. They saw Jesus for who He was, recognized Him, and stated the obvious. Atheists do not analyze the facts. If they do, they still close a blind eye to the facts and continue to say that Jesus is not real. Analyzing the facts and stating the obvious is not enough. You still must choose to follow and obey Jesus Christ to have God living in you. James explains this concept in his epistle.

14 What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works ? Can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? 17 Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. 18 But someone may well say, “You have faith and I have works ; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” 19 You believe that God is one. You do well ; the demons also believe, and shudder. 20 But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless ? (James 2)

The demons recognize who God is and they shutter out of fear/respect for Him yet they do not obey Him. They have the knowledge but not the obedience. They do not have faith. God does not live in them and they do not live in God. They are just smart enough to accept the facts (unlike atheists). When a person “acknowledges” God, as I John 4:15 says, it means that they analyze the facts, come to the logical conclusion about God/Jesus Christ, accept the truth (have faith), and obey (the works that James is talking about).

So, as you can see, God does not live in evil spirits and evil spirits do not live in God. The atheist is wrong, yet again. There are no contradictions in the Bible.

I have to ask you, have you studied the facts about God? Do you accept them (as the demons do) or do you reject truth so that you can live in a fantasy world (like atheists do)? Have you analyzed the facts about God from the Bible? If not then why not? If you have analyzed the facts and come to the logical conclusion, are you living a life of obedience to God? What separates you from the demons? They see the truth and shudder yet they do not obey God, what about you?

You may be asking, “what do I need to do to be able to obey God?” That is a great question and James has the answer for us in chapter 1.

25 But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.

1) Look intently (study diligently) in to the Word of God.

2) Live by what you learn.

3) Be blessed in all that you do.

May God help us see the truth and live by it.
