I had the privilege of spending 10 days with some of my favorite friends (brothers and sisters in Christ) in Warsaw, Poland as I taught a session on Missiology based on the “Sermon on the Mount“. It was a great session. We studied this masterful sermon very intensively. It was a time of personal examination. All of us examined our relationship with God as well as our motives in doing what we do in the ministry. God really spoke directly to all of us. We evaluated the previous 6 months of ministry and planned the next 6 months.
God really motivated us to be salt and light in the societies in which we live. God motivated us to love people and serve them, teaching them how to have and live by the righteousness of God and not the righteousness of man, based on rules, rituals, and empty regulations.
One of the ladies at the session was suffering difficulties in her relationship with her nonbeliever husband. When he found out her plans of going to the session, he hid her Bible so that she would not be able to go. We prayed for her and her husband. She discovered many relevant truths for herself as she suffers for the Gospel. She was encouraged by the fact that she is suffering for the Gospel just as Jesus teaches us in the Sermon on the Mount.
After the session, I was able to visit and worship with my brothers and sisters of 2nd Baptist Warsaw. I shared a few words about the session and then about the upcoming summer in Moldova. I presented our EFNL (English) camp as well as the coaching summer school and the mass media summer school. They all promised to pray for our upcoming ministry opportunities.
Our summer will be quite busy.
June and 2 weeks in July – day camps in villages – about 4 per week over a 6 week period.
July and August – Coaching school and Mass media summer school
July – English Summer camp
August – 2nd Annual Precept Festival and Youth Camp
As we plan, we want to evangelize and disciple some 2,000 people this summer. Please pray for all of the teams that are coming, for all of the necessary materials, as well as for God to prepare the hearts of those to whom we will minister.
What is your summer looking like? How do you plan on serving the Lord by reaching out to the people around you?
