Kim Davis, Marriage, the Church, and the lost world

Well, I thought I would finally weigh in on the gay marriage ordeal. We are seeing the ramifications of an unjust “law” forced upon the majority of the people, based on judicial activism. Kim Davis is in the spotlight at the moment. There are 3 major reactions that people seem to have regarding this case.

I. The secular view

Lear HOW to think instead of WHAT to think

I am worried about my generation and the generations that have followed me. The reason that I am worried is because we have a couple of generations that have been trained by our State run schools in the art of “belief” instead in the art of “thinking”. Our public schools no longer offer a classical education, an education that includes logic, reasoning skills, and debate. Instead, our kids are taught WHAT to think instead of HOW to think. This is very dangerous because people who do not know how to think are easily subjugated and controlled. I would like to demonstrate this with a hot topic that is being discussed all over our society.

I am a minister of the Gospel and have served people from all kinds of different races, languages, cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds etc. Each one has its uniqueness yet each one is basically the same. Sin nature is dominate in all cultures and manifests itself in many of the same ways, over and over again. I would like to show you a snippet of a conversation that I recently had with some people of my generation and younger. It frightens me because of the deceptiveness of the people. They are deceptive because they have been deceived. They do not know how to think and when challenged, their responses sound more like 5 year old kids on the playground than mature adults. I don’t think that this is by accident. This is the process of being taught what to think instead of how to think. I want to help but from the responses, HOW? The really scary part is that as they have kids, they are going to pass this process on to them and it will get worse with each new generation. I have addressed this problem before with voting. I almost bought some Girl Scout cookies today . . .

I was out and about today, running some errands for my dear wife and children. As I pulled in the parking lot of a local store, I saw the sign and immediately thought of those delicious samoas that were waiting for me. I reached for my money and then I remembered, the Girl Scouts support Planned Parenthood. I stopped in my tracks, put the money back in my pocket, and entered the store to look for a tasty alternative.

Immigration and the Bible

I know, I know, many think that religion and politics do not mix. Those same people usually do not realize that before modern politics ever came on the scene, God’s Word spoke loud and clear on important subjects. Just to give a few examples, long before the pro choice pro life debate, God spoke clearly on the right to life. You can see it in His Word. To claim that your religious convictions should have no place in the pro life pro choice debate is ludicrous. This debate was settled long ago by God, way before modern politics tried to highjack it. The same goes for same sex marriages. God defined marriage as being between one man and one woman from the very beginning. He also condemned homosexuality (along with all the other sexual sins practiced by people today). The final verdict stands on immigration. Many claim that the Bible speaks of no such issue (just like they claim that the Bible does not mention abortion, He does by describing the act instead of just using a word because we can manipulate words too easily). Although you will not find the word “immigration” in the Bible, there are some principles taught in the Bible that would apply to immigration. Continue reading

Does America really need a LGBT history month?

I was shocked to learn of this news the other day, the fact that Obama has declared the month of June as “Homosexual Pride” month and that homosexual activists have declared the month of October (conveniently while children are in school) as “LGBT History” month.

I would love to know your thoughts on this. I am shocked at this blatant propaganda but at the same time I am not surprised. This is how the homosexual agenda works and it started 1,000s of years ago, all the way back in the book of Genesis. Here are some insights on the homosexual agenda. Continue reading

Should you be forced to endorse gay marriage if it is against your conscience?

I came across this article today and thought it would be good to share with you. The people who embrace and promote the homosexual lifestyle claim to want freedom of choice while, at the same time, promote laws that would limit the choices of people who may not agree with the homosexual agenda and lifestyle. This response is well thought out and specifically for a person who does not know if he should be forced to endorse gay marriage just because of his business. I really enjoyed the answer and I think that it is very thought provoking. Continue reading

Why is the pro traditional marriage discussion needed in churches?

I would like to begin this article with a few quotes from my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

13 “You are the salt of the earth ; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden ; 15 nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5) Continue reading

Are homosexuals fit parents?

Back in 2005, the APA (American Psychological Association), a once respected organization before being highjacked by the gay agenda, produced a comprehensive study claiming that children raised by homosexual couples were just as likely to be “normal” and lead normal lives as children who are raised by heterosexual couples. This was to be the end all argument that would silence the people who claimed that homosexuality is dangerous for society. Those who promoted homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle instead of a dangerous threat to society began to “dance in the streets” closing the mouths of any opposition with this article.
