Will everyone who calls on the name of the Lord be saved?

I want to take a look at another argument used by an atheist who claims that the Bible is full of contradictions and therefore should not be considered a trustworthy Book. The claim falls along the same lines as the previous claims, being that the atheist superficially reads bits and pieces of the Bible and believes that he has discovered a contradiction. He usually does not bother to examine the texts in detail to see of he has reached the correct conclusion or not. (usually because his “contradiction” is something that he has heard someone else say instead of actually studying from the Bible). Anyway, here is the evidence the atheist uses. Continue reading

Submit yourself to every authority instituted among men?

I wrote today’s first article last night but was not able to post it until this morning so that is why I want to post this article now. Here is the next contradiction initiated by our atheist friend. You will see the same pattern used again. The man has no clue about context and very little intellectual integrity.

Submit yourself to every authority instituted among men?

Acts 5:29 – Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than men!

1 Peter 2:13 – Submit yourself for the Lord’s sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right.

On which hour was Jesus crucified?

Here is another supposed contradiction by our atheist friend.

On which hour was Jesus crucified?

Mark 15:25 – It was the third hour when they crucified him.

John 19:14,15 – It was the day of Preparation of Passover Week, about the sixth hour. “Here is your king,” Pilate said to the Jews. But they shouted, “Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!” “Shall I crucify your king?” Pilate asked. “We have no king but Caesar,” the chief priests answered. Finally Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified.

God says honor parents, Jesus says hate them (so says an atheist))

I want to tackle another supposed contradiction in the Bible. An atheist uses this argument to say that the Bible contradicts Itself.

God says honor parents, Jesus says hate them.

Exodus 20:12 – Honor your father and your mother …

Luke 14:26 – If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters – yes, even his own life – he cannot be my disciple.

Has anyone ever seen God and what does that mean?

I want to deal with another supposed contradiction by our atheist friend who superficially reads the Bible (I really do not think he even reads the Bible. I believe he is just recycling someone’s illogical argument). Just a simple word study of the meaning of the original words used in Hebrew and Greek reveal that the atheist has no clue what he is talking about.

No one has ever seen God?

Genesis 32:30 – So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, “It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.”

John 1:18 – No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father’s side, has made him known.

Are sons punished for their father’s sins?

This is the question an atheist asks and then goes on to say that the Bible contradicts Itself, using verses out of context as his proof. I would like to address this subject in this post. I have been writing a series of posts on claims by atheists that the Bible contradicts Itself. Upon the slightest bit of intellectual integrity one will find that the atheists are trying to latch on to the wind for their ridiculous claims, trying to disprove a God whom they claim does not exist. That very act proves that they do not have full proof that there is no God, just their desires (but that is for a different post).

Here is the “evidence” for this ridiculous claim.

5 “You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me, (Exodus 20)

20 “The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity ; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself. (Ezekiel 18)

Did Jesus baptize or not?

Here is a proposed contradiction by an atheist (who once again shows a lack of intellectual integrity while cherry picking verses from the Bible that he/she does not understand or even care to try and understand). I hope by now you can see this repeating pattern among the “open minded, free thinkers”. They claim to think outside the box and want to be different but like sheep they are all the same. We as people are like sheep (the Bible is correct!!!) and in their (atheists) desire to disprove the Bible, they actually prove It over and over again.

Here is the next “contradiction“. Continue reading

Reoccurring theme: Atheists and their terrible logic

I will cut to the point on this one. I used the previous 2 articles to disprove some false accusations about the Bible from an atheist. Here is yet another case of a lack of intellectual integrity. Keep in mind that this is coming from those who boast in their ability to think critically and analyze the “facts”. Keep in mind what God says about people who claim that there is no God (atheists). Another atheist’s supposed contradiction

In my previous article, I tackled the false accusation that God contradicts Himself by saying that He will not change His mind, and then turns around and changes His mind. We saw that the atheist made the accusation based on a superficial reading of two different Biblical texts. Upon actually reading the texts, we saw that the Bible was correct and the atheist was wrong. The same will be proven in this article focusing on another “contradiction”.

Does God contradict Himself in the Bible?

If you have had many dealings with atheists then you know that they love to say that the Bible is not a trustworthy book because of the many, many contradictions that It contains. When asked for proof of just one contradiction, the usual line of argument is, “there are just so many, I cannot remember one at the moment.” Or one of my favorites is, “Joseph, Mary’s husband, had 2 different fathers according to the Gospel writers”. I have answered that fallacy in this article. I have noticed that the atheist crowd uses the same arguments to disprove the Bible. They all seem to make the same mistake of taking verses out of context and not studying the subject for themselves. They just take what others say on the subject as Gospel truth (yes, the pun was intended) and do not bother to do any research in the Bible Itself (and they call themselves open minded free thinkers, yet that all come from the same mold falling into the same fallacy, not to open minded or free thinking if you ask me). Here is the next supposed contradiction.

19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent ; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good ? (Numbers 23)

10 When God saw their deeds, that they turned from their wicked way, then God relented concerning the calamity which He had declared He would bring upon them. And He did not do it. (Jonah 3)
