The right to life

As US citizens, we are all guaranteed the right to life, unless you are the most vulnerable of humans, babies developing in the womb. Unless you have been living under a rock over the last month, you know the criticism addressed to Planned Parenthood based on the fact that they perform legal abortions and then sell the harvested body parts that come as a result of that abortion. There are several controversial thoughts here. One, the law protects legal abortion because it claims that a human fetus is just a clump of living tissue that is no different than a liver or kidney. It (the fetus) does not have the right to life because it is not yet human. On the other hand, once that fetus is aborted, the organs are now part of a human cadaver. How did it change from being a clump of tissue to a human cadaver? As a born again believer, disciple of Christ, and pastor, I am very interested in knowing what God has to teach us on hot topics in our society. For example: Continue reading

I almost bought some Girl Scout cookies today . . .

I was out and about today, running some errands for my dear wife and children. As I pulled in the parking lot of a local store, I saw the sign and immediately thought of those delicious samoas that were waiting for me. I reached for my money and then I remembered, the Girl Scouts support Planned Parenthood. I stopped in my tracks, put the money back in my pocket, and entered the store to look for a tasty alternative.

Moses’ family

During the month of March, Big City Clubhouse is focusing on families. We want to encourage all of the children that God knows their situation, that He created the family to be a positive influence in society, and that He can intervene in any familial situation and use it for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purposes. During the month of February, we focused on knowing God and how that impacts our daily lives, especially the way that we treat others. Here are some of the lessons that we covered. Continue reading

Does the Bible teach that parents are to kill their children for being rude?

I want to write this in response to an atheist who claims that the Bible is absurd because of Its teachings on the parent/child relationship. He claims that the Bible teaches that parents must kill their “rude” children (although he does not define what “rude” means). He puts no effort in to understanding a text from the Bible. Like most atheists, he is quote mining or cherry picking verses and trying to use them against the Bible. Atheists usually ask that you refrain from using the Bible as a source when defending the Bible yet they try and use the Bible against Itself day and night. They have a very obvious double standard (but that is a different topic that we can cover later). Here is the info from the atheist’s blog. Continue reading

News for the pro abortion crowd

The Bible has spoken for centuries of the wrongs of abortion. Modern man has decided that he does not want to acknowledge God so he can do what he wishes. Abortion has existed as long as sin has existed so it is not a new phenomena. The pro choice crowd screams that it has a right to choose who lives and who dies. The question is, what if you make the wrong choice or a mistake in this “simple little procedure”? Well, you do not have to wait for an answer. Tragedy has struck during the “simple abortion procedure”. It happened to a woman from Australia. She was told by doctors that one of her twins would be born with a birth defect so it would be better to abort that twin. She agreed to end the life of the baby with the defect. The problem is, the doctors murdered the wrong baby. The wrong twin was aborted. You can see the article here. Continue reading

Mississippi voted to uphold the legal murder of innocent children

If you do not know about the battle that took place in the state of Mississippi this election cycle then I would like to point out the battle over prop 26. Voting no on 26 meant that you were okay with the legal murdering of innocent babies in the womb. Voting yes meant that you understand God’s stance on life and chose to stand with Him. I am sad to say that 60% of the people who voted in the state of Mississippi voted for legal murder and took stance against God. I want to present God’s view of abortion (yes, the Bible talks specifically about abortion) and then call those who took a stance against God to repent publicly so that they can be forgiven and not experience God’s judgment in their lives. Pro Life March this Wed. in honor of International Children’s Day

Our modern society is full of paradoxes. I do not have the time nor space to tackle them all one by one. I would like to focus on one in particular. As a modern society, we claim to be humane. Many boast that we are “more humane than God” because we do not see the need to punish murderers or rapists with death. That statement seems to make sense until you look beyond the superficiality of it. Not punishing the guilty for his crimes is an inhumane act toward the victim of that crime. What is even more bizarre is the fact that those who oppose punishing the criminals with death because it is inhumane, promote abortion (calling it pro choice of course) on demand. Continue reading

Children are important to God; Reach them for Christ

I heard a wonderful sermon at church today and I want to share it with you here in this article. The preacher is a friend of mine in the ministry. He has many disciples through the sport of TaeKwonDo (TKD). He works with children teaching them discipline and hard work through TKD as well as the Word of God. Since June 1 is International Children’s Day, he decided to speak about children and their value to God and the importance of leading them to Christ.
