I am preparing to teach my final lesson at our youth group this Saturday night. It is a bitter sweet feeling. I am so sad to be leaving all of my dear friends here in Moldova but at the same time I am excited to be able to spend some time with my family back in the USA. My mom is very sick so I am glad to be able to comfort her and share God’s love with her so that she can be comforted by God in the midst of sickness. I am also happy and well as a little afraid about the newest missionary adventure that our family is embarking on. I need these lessons on overcoming fear as I am constantly attacked by my fears, especially while going through this transition. I would like to review the previous two lessons to get up to speed on this subject and introduce lesson 3. Before getting into the review, I want to ask you, “what are your fears at the moment?”. This Sunday, at Good News, we are celebrating the harvest. This is similar to Thanksgiving in the States but it is only done in Evangelical churches here in Moldova. The church is decorated by the produce that the members bring. We show our gratitude to God for blessing the year with a good harvest. I came across this article today and thought it would be good to share with you. The people who embrace and promote the homosexual lifestyle claim to want freedom of choice while, at the same time, promote laws that would limit the choices of people who may not agree with the homosexual agenda and lifestyle. This response is well thought out and specifically for a person who does not know if he should be forced to endorse gay marriage just because of his business. I really enjoyed the answer and I think that it is very thought provoking. Continue reading
Anytime I have a discussion either in person or online, I hear a common point offered by homosexuals and their supporters. The point being, homosexuality is not unnatural because it happens among some of the animal groups. That is the end all argument that cannot be countered (at least that is what they believe). I thought about the logic of this argument and came to an interesting conclusion. Is it acceptable among people because it happens in the animal kingdom? If that is the case then I have a question. Many animals eat there young, so is it okay for human parents to eat their offspring?
